Kate and Mike’s wedding at the Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, was a whirlwind of a day, I really don’t know where the time went! I was pleased to be chosen as their wedding photographer when they told me about their wedding plans which included a fantastic venue, garden games and a barn dance. It was clear the guests were going to have a blast! I photographed the girls and the boys getting ready in cottages next door to one another followed by a lovely ceremony, with a few tears of joy, in the main barn which looked beautiful. After the meal were some great speeches, again with a few tears of joy, including a ‘pub quiz’ on the bride and groom to test the guest’s knowledge. I was especially looking forward to the first dance as Kate and Mike had let me into a little secret – they had some dance lessons to prepare themselves – so my expectations were high, I fully expected something straight out of ‘Strictly’ and they didn’t disappoint! The barn dance then followed and I diced with death on the dance floor to get some shots right in the middle of all the action. Many of the guests really went for it and gave it their all! Many congratulations to you both, Kate and Mike, wishing you every happiness together.
